One of the largest Russian companies for the production of strong alcoholic beverages, Kizlyar Brandy Factory set a record for the processing of grapes in 2018.
According to Evgeny Druzhinin, General Director of JSC KKZ, the company processed 41 thousand tons of grapes and produced over 2.6 mil. decalitres table winematerials. “Every year we increase production capacity, which will expand the market, create new drinks and most importantly increase competitiveness both within the country and abroad. Compared to 2017, the volume of processed grapes increased by almost 10 thousand tons, ”said Yevgeny Druzhinin.
At present, the plant is among the five largest Russian brandy producers and one of the three most profitable companies in the North Caucasus. The Lezginka brand cognac produced by the plant for 6 years is one of the most popular beverages.
Increased consumer demand for Lezginka leads to the appearance of counterfeit goods on the market. In order to avoid the acquisition of fakes, plant specialists recommend checking the authenticity of the federal special brand. In addition, as part of the fight against counterfeit, the plant began to apply laser engraving on the bottles.
“Earlier, the date of bottling was painted on the bottles, but now we have switched to a new system. Laser engraving equipment is expensive and small factories that produce a counterfeit product cannot afford it, ”says KKZ specialist Haji Aliyev.
